Thermaltake Core P3 Open Frame Silent ATX Mid-Tower Chassis

Thermaltake’s Core P3 is an impressive open frame chassis that is ideal no matter how you would want to cool your system - fanless, air and watercooling are all covered, with style!

Features

  1. Open frame design for excellent cooling
  2. Supports fanless, air and watercooling
  3. Can be mounted horizontally, vertically or wall mounted
  4. PSU and graphics card orientation options

The Core P3 Open Frame chassis sets a new benchmark in groundbreaking open frame chassis design. With full support for liquid cooling, the Core P3 is built from the ground up to make even the most advanced PC customisation and modification effortless and hassle free, making it a dream to build with. The open frame panel design is protected with a clear acrylic or tempered glass panel – behind which sits the chassis frame that supports the latest PC hardware, AIO and DIY liquid cooling solutions. Specially designed dual GPU and PSU layouts, plus a 3-way stand placement (wall mountable, horizontal laying and vertical standing) allow users to position the chassis any orientation!

DMD – Dismantlable Modular Design

The Core P3 open frame chassis enables users to freely build the system from the ground up with given modular panels, racks, brackets, and pre-design mounting arrays. No more unreachable screw corners or gaps and enjoy installation in a breeze with Dismantlable Modular Design.

3-Way Placement Layout

The Core P3 is designed for use in three different ways: Wall-mount, vertical, and horizontal placement. Built for customisation that reflects the makers’ personality, it allows for adjustments to the chassis for the best viewing presentation while ensuring outstanding cooling performance.

Users can hang it on the wall as decoration, take it to wherever they want and display the nice builds vertically or horizontally.

Versatile GPU & PSU Orientation

Show off your graphic card and power supply with our special design bracket. The Core P3 has included a standard riser cable for you to choose the way you want to build the system. Further, the Core P3 also has the support for vertical PSU layout when ITX motherboard is applied.

Thermaltake TT Premium PCI-E 3.0 Extender (Optional) – supports a wide range of GPU solutions with ultra-excellent quality. Features like extreme high-speed cable with highly-routable design and EMI shielding with conducting polymer are crafted for meeting the most demanding system. Available in 300mm, 600mm and 1000mm length.

Supreme Hardware Support

The Core P3 offers the most flexible mounting option with the specially designed mounting array. This not only supports up to four 120mm or 140mm fans or radiators, it also supports the mounting of 3.5” and 2.5” storage devices. Furthermore, two 3.5”/2.5” drive trays are included and hidden in the back panel that offers 45mm of cable management space.

Native AIO Support

The Core P3 natively supports all types of All-In-One liquid cooling solution without the need for an extra bracket.

Tt LCS Certified

Tt LCS Certified is a Thermaltake exclusive certification, applied only to those products which pass those standards set by design and hardcore enthusiasts and which any true LCS chassis should aspire to meet. The Tt LCS certification was created so that Thermaltake can indicate to all power users which chassis has been tested and proven to be the most compatible with extreme liquid cooling configurations. All this to ensure you receive great performance from the best features and fitment.

Top Quiet PC Cases

“Excellent product and service”

“I purchased this Thermolab Trinity cpu cooler to replace the Intel cpu cooler supplied with an Intel Pentium D processor 830 3 GHz LGA775.

The problem with the Intel cooler was that it was just so noisy - it was a real pain having to listen to it all day.

Installing the Trinity was a fairly major undertakiing, because you have to take out the motherboard. That is because the Trinity has a backplate which is mounted on the underside of the motherboard and which bolts through to secure the main cooler on the cpu side of the board.

I think it would be extremely unlikely that you could install this without removing the motherboard and, in my system, an Intel D945GNT system board mounted in an Acousticase AC 6607 case, this also involved taking out the hard drives and the psu.

In all it took me over three hours to install this cooler - although how long it takes will depend a lot on your particular system and how used you are to taking it all apart.

Howeever, having made the effort, it was definitely worthwhile.

The new cooler is virtually silent and it is wonderful not to have to spend all day listening to the Intel cooler fan whining away.

Monitoring showed that the Intel cooler fan was doing about 4800 rpm against the Trinity at typically 600 rpm or so - which accounts for why it is quieter; the bigger fan rotates more slowly to move the same volume of air. And, of course, it has a much bigger radiator, which I am sure helps.

The comfort levels around the machine have now inproved dramatically.

Also, the temperature levels seem good - I wasn’t monitoring them closely before I changed coolers, but the monitororing I’m doing now suggests that they are down on what they were before.

Also, excellent technical support and service from Quiet PC.

All in all, an excellent product and well worth the effort of installing it.”
