Streacom PCI Express 1X Slot Riser Card Adapter Cable

The perfect way to add a PCI-E x1 card to a low-profile HTPC case where the PCI Express card has to be parallel to the motherboard.

Features

  1. Allows a PCI Express card to be installed parallel to the motherboard
  2. Especially useful for low-profile HTPC-style PC cases
  3. Flexible cable ensures universal compatibility
  4. Gold plated contacts for best connectivity and long life

This flexible PCI-E x1 riser card allows you to install a PCI Express expansion card parallel to the motherboard in a slimline PC case where space is restricted. It’s an ideal solution if you want to add a TV tuner or a sound card to the system, for example. “Good advice, excellent PC”

“I wanted a PC to run a flight simulator (powerful) and work as a home theatre PC in the living room (quiet). I was advised by Quiet PC that the Serenity Pro Gamer would stay cool under extreme simulation environments, while still being very quiet. The advice was excellent. The Serenity Pro Gamer certainly has the power and graphics ability, and is also very quiet without overheating at all. I also liked that all the drivers for my chosen hardware were already installed, so the PC booted Windows 8 and ran well immediately (after the usual online updating). Also there were very few “rubbish” apps installed, just the OS and a few tools. The PC has worked well for the last few months, with no problems. The only problem I have is that Windows 8 tile interface refuses to work because my projector is 1280 x 720, which Microsoft regards as a low resolution display ! So I have to use the old style Windows 7 interface. I do plan to update the projector in the future, so this problem should go away then. I have searched various forums on how to fix this, but it seems that this is a “feature” of Windows 8.1, and is not fixable. This is not the fault of the PC hardware or quietPC. Overall, a perfect experience.”
